As I am sure you have noticed already, we are not professional photographers. Many of the following pictures are unedited and some are quite grainy. Sorry, but they're still cute. And they tell quite a story.
Welcome back to our lives. Again, sorry we haven't posted sooner. Life just sort of happens. I hope that this blog will make up for the time gap and you will feel "up to date" by the end.
Shortly after we returned to Grenada for my final term here Cherish got sick and had to go back to the US for a brief time. (If this is "news" to you, shame on you for not being more in her business. JK. She almost didn't tell me and I live with her. It was very hush-hush.) Don't worry, things are better now and she's healthy. Anyways, she was gone for about a month which left me alone for Valentine's Day. Cher left me some super cute letters to help me not feel so lonely and Bear was a great Valentine's date.
| We went to the tide pools. It was very romantic... or something. |
| This picture makes me giggle. I have no idea what Bear saw, but it made him do his crazy eyes. |
I didn't take any other pictures until Cher and Bridget got back. Since then we have tried to make good use of our time. I took them to the tide pools. They were much better company than the Bear.
Sorry about the undies shot. Swinging is a short dress is an exposing activity.
| On a side note |
After continuously being asked what her eye color is, I tried looking up yellow-green-brown color names online. From what I can tell, the closest I can get is "olive" but her eyes have more yellow than an olive. It's more like a sandy-olive green.

Another fun adventure we had was going to the dock a Coral Cove.
| When we ask Bridget to jump, this is what she does. It's adorable. Also, sweet moves, Lori! |
| Bridget is growing up so fast and LOVES playing with the bigger kids. Some of them are kind of afraid of her still, but now they have to really work to escape her. This is her in hot pursuit of one of Jason and Lori's boys. |
| Bridget has also developed a love of our car. She wants to "play" in it all the time. She locks and unlocks the doors, climbs in and out, buckles her car seat, etc... |
| Bridget still loves her Bear Bear and he gets a kick out of her too. |
| Bridget loves listening to music on her phone and pretending to be talking to her Nana and Bumpa. She even say "Hewwo" which is different from the usual "Hi" she normally uses. |
| Cherish and I have been trying to get fitter and Bridget is getting on board too. |
| Cherish doesn't really love Yoga, but Bridget does. |
| Her favorite is naked Yoga. :D |
| ... And underpants handstands of course. |
For Easter and we attended a few parties and Bridget got her hair done special. We wanted to get a picture of her hair, but ended up doing a full photo shoot.
| We asked her to stop and smile... this is what she gave me. Hahaha |
| Flashback to the 90's. But it's amazing she had enough hair to do this. |
The SO organization had a party on Saturday before Easter Sunday. It was great and Bridget got to be with her bestie.
| Here was her score from the Easter bunny |
| Inside were Bridget's favorite: Bubbles... |
The girls looked so cute we just had to get a little shoot of them.
| Bridget was jealous of Mila's mad hops |
The girls then got their faces painted. I don't know if they loved it...
| Bridget loves balloons! They are more than decorations. |
Then on Easter Sunday Cherish hosted a party for the Mormon kids here on the island. It was a great party, but we only got this one picture because we were both so busy.
On the Saturday of Conference weekend we decided to try and recreate the Coppertone baby picture. You know, this one:
Well, it turns out that dogs actually do not like to bite bikini bottoms, so figure. Not even when baited with pepperoni!
| This is about the closest we got to a successful shot without tying them together. |
| Bridget didn't love being tied to Bear. |
| We got this beauty though. Not an exact match, but you know... |
| After the shoot our little fish needed a quick dip. She has absolutely no fear of the water and wants to swim solo in the ocean all the time. |
As you can see her lack of fear covers heights too.
We tried to retake her mermaid picture, but she wasn't loving it this time. She is still cute though.
| This is Bridget and her BFF. These two little Grenadians love their island life and each other. |
These girls help me keep my sanity. And I love them.
And we miss Amy. |
The Monday after Easter I had school off, so we went to the University Club pool and beach for R&R.
| My girl was stylin'! |
One of Bridget's favorite new things are pockets! After mom approved the shells she was finding, into the pocket they would go.
I think I challenged her to a game of Bocee ball. Big mistake, Bridget doesn't mess around. I lost and still Bridget helped me clean up.
We then cleaned back up so Bridget could fish-out again.
| These pictures do not do justice to this girl in the water. It is absolutely amazing. She can go anywhere she wants to and has no fear. |
She has even started "jumping in".
| She more lets mom pull her in, but we are working on jumping. |
Most recently, we went to a local petting zoo. Bridget had a blast with her family and bestie.
| This was Bridget feeding the monkey. |
| This was the monkey attacking Bridget and both her and Cher subsequently freaking out. LOL |
| Daddy had no fear of the tiny monkey and Bridget took comfort in that. |
| Well almost... |
| This was about all the contact Cher wanted with the monkey. |
| Their claim... |
| Not a lie. |
| Bridget could NOT wait to get her hands on the snake |
| This girl's aboslute, FAVORITE animal was the donkey. She was so happy and energetic to ride the donkey, not only while riding with mom, but especially when she was allowed to ride by herself. |
| After the petting zoo, we went to the zoo's cafe for lunch. Bridget picked her own lunch... which she didn't eat. |
| Lunch took about an hour even though we were the only ones there. But these two kept each other entertained in the cutest ways. |
