Welcome back to the blog. Tony is taking the lead on this one, so I hope you enjoy.

We have had a fun month since the last time we wrote. Kai was officially cleared to leave the house, so we had quite a few fun little adventures. The 3 most memorable were:
1. Our visit to Kidsville. It is an "imagination" play center for kids. They have a climbing area, hair styling area, shopping area, tool area, learning area, baby doll area, and a shooting ball area. Bridget is still learning how to use her imagination alone, so it wasn't a huge success, but worth trying.
2. Our visit to Pump it Up. It is an indoor bounce house that has obstacle courses, giant slides, bounce areas, and ball areas. Bridget loves it there. We may or may not have bought a 5 pack of passes to return... It's pretty rad.
3. Our visit to Monster Mini Golf. It is a monster themed mini golf course and arcade. Bridget doesn't like the mini golf very much, but she loves the arcade games.

We have also been doing Family Home Evening on a weekly basis now. We take turns teaching a spiritual lesson, singing a song, and saying the prayer each week. Bridget loves it and asks multiple times during the week if it is time for Family Home Evening again. Her favorite part is taking charge and leading; This includes welcoming everyone to family night, introducing the jobs, and leading (or at least learning to lead) the music.

Kai is growing so big. He mostly does the basic things necessary to grow. He EATS, SLEEPS, and EATS again. He is also losing a lot of the red from his hair. It's turning more brown with blonde on the edges.
He squeals a little too while he sleeps.
He is definitely getting bigger. He was up to 11 lbs and 22 inches long at his 2 month appointment. It is pretty impressive. I mean look at those guns.
He is awake more than last month, but this is hard to communicate via skype alot of the time.
When Kai isn't sleeping or eating he prefers to be naked.
And on his tummy
He loves his baths too. And Bridget loves to help. She has only nearly drowned him twice... so far...
Kai still makes the cutest crying faces. We almost feel bad smiling while we cries
But it is soooo cute
He is also learning to smile and we are all loving it.
Daddy probably pesters him the most but he deals with it.
For Valentine's day we did a special photo shoot. He are is resulting products, eat your hearts out.
We started out with a plaid theme.
Then decided naked was more appropriate. Don't worry I am only posting the kids pictures here. ;)
Kai also wore a plethora of kisses. Cher and Bridget enjoyed kissing Kai probably more than they enjoyed taking pictures.
And Kai... well he actually tolerated it quite well.
He was a little surprised at times, but he never cried.
Ok... maybe not "never".
We ended the shoot with some cute shots of B.
Then we finished it all off by making some fun little Valentine cards.
I hope you enjoyed this post and we will see you next month.
Side notes:
Last post I mentioned how our insurance finally went through. It did, but turns out the dang HMO will not retro-pay for medical procedures during those 3 months we were waiting on the papers to go through... That means we paid for my OB completely out of pocket, but the hospital bills will be covered. Kai cost us about $3000. Boo. I'm so glad he's healthy though. I wish the insurance companies actually cared about people and their situations.
Also, remember that anesthesiologist that gave me the epidural that didn't quite work out? Tony found out after his previous rotation in anesthesiology that he was FIRED soon after my delivery, possibly because he KEPT MESSING UP. Maybe I wasn't the only one that received a bad epidural! Poor guy, but more relevant, poor patients.
Funny story time:
We recently busted out a video monitor to help Bridget stay in her room and calm my own anxious brain that I can't hear her during the night. This monitor is pretty cool- you can talk into your end and the eye has a speaker so it works like a walkie-talkie. Two days after using it, Bridget came up to me and asked "why do I have the stupid monitor?" Stupid monitor? She explained her room has the stupid monitor because she can't watch us. Bahaha. That's one way to label the receiver.
